DHEMIT is the term we use to refer to harmful spirits and demons, the main mystical threats in the universe of WLDR: SPIRIT BATTLER. These DHEMITs have their own classifications based on the database gathered by the SPECIAL DETACHMENT 19 ghost-hunter taskforce. Let's take a peek how we develop the ideas and concepts of the DHEMITs and MAUNG BODAS, the first demon that we will introduce when the comic is published.
DHEMIT

Similar to how Hollow works in the popular anime series Bleach, DHEMIT aka harmful ghosts or spirits are a common occurrences in the world of WLDR. Nevertheless, one does not need to be in tune or sensitive to supernatural things to be able to sense and even interact with DHEMITs. Usually DHEMITs only appear in the form of apparitions or possess something/someone, but there are rare incidents when ordinary citizens are terrorized by dangerous DHEMITs who intend to harm humans. That is why SPECIAL DETACHMENT 19 was established-- to handle such supernatural cases.
Based on the experience of DETACHMENT 19 members, they categorized DHEMIT into 5 different levels:
- Class 0 Very Light (0-VL): Apparitions that cannot interact with and harm humans.
- Class I Light (1-L): Ghosts that possess people or objects, can only cause light damage to the victim and the surrounding environment.
- Class 2 Medium (2-M): Ghosts that appear physically and can interact with humans.
- Class 3 Severe (3-S): Ghosts that appear physically and actively harm, attack, and even kill humans.
- Class 4 Extremely Dangerous (4-ED): Ghosts that have repeatedly killed humans or caused massive environmental damage.
- Class 5 ???: No ghosts have been found that fall into this category.
In addition, they also group DHEMIT into several types, including:
- BEAST: DHEMIT whose body shape is dominated by animal characteristics.
- RELIC: DHEMIT that's trapped in a magical object.
- FORCE: DHEMIT that's almost invisible and usually appear in a gaseous form.
- And many more.
MAUNG BODAS

- DHEMIT Type: Beast
- Element: Neutral
The first DHEMIT that's going to be shown in WLDR: SPIRIT BATTLER #1 – DEBT IS CARRIED TO DEATH. In WLDR, MAUNG BODAS (lit. White Tiger) is an extremely dangerous and vile DHEMIT. The demon has to consume at least 45 kg of pure meat every day-- and he's not picky in which kind of meat he's going to feast on.
We chose MAUNG BODAS as the first enemy to introduce the concept of DHEMIT because the idea of a “weretiger” seems like an Indonesian concept that can still be “universally accepted” and enjoyed by overseas readers. Tigers themselves are known throughout the world as very fierce jungle predators. Meanwhile, the concept of a "tiger + demon" is familiar to the minds of Indonesians because our archipelago is filled with lush rainforests where tigers and other wild animals roam freely. If something bad happens in a forest, it is likely that the surrounding villagers think that these wild beasts are the perpetrators.
The main basis of this monster is taken from Sundanese folk legend. In the legend, MAUNG BODAS is the king of thousands of savage and ferocious white tiger demon soldiers. The life of the tiger king changed when he met Prabu Siliwangi, the King of the Pajajaran Kingdom in 1482-1521 AD who was a real person in history but was also thought to posses extraordinary powerful magical abilities in myths.
Once upon a time, after a long and arduous journey, Prabu Siliwangi was about to rest in Curug Sawer, an area in Majalengka, West Java. However, he was ambushed by MAUNG BODAS and his beastly troops. When Prabu Siliwangi managed to defeat a huge number of the white tigers, MAUNG BODAS decided to intervene to beat the king himself. Unexpectedly, the white tiger king was beaten to submission at the hands of Prabu Siliwangi. At that moment, MAUNG BODAS and his tiger soldiers devoted themselves to Prabu Siliwangi to become his "khadam" or loyal guards.
