The SPIRIT BATTLER secret project is made by SPECIAL DETACHMENT 19 -- government's special task force made to combat mystical threat -- in the world of WLDR: SPIRIT BATTLER. Guided by SAROENGAN the shaman, their Lamina battle suit is powered with spiritual energy that can protect and damage DHEMIT-- evil spirits and demons. Ever BATTLER has his own animal theme and fighting style.

When BAROKAH was crushed by an out-of-control truck, his soul was captured by the shaman SAROENGAN and put into the WLDR battle armor. Reborn as a member of the ghost hunter task force, now BAROKAH must fight against evil ghosts in order to pay off his worldly debts and stay away from the flames of hell.
WLDR or WILDER may sound a bit strange or eccentric to your ear, but we actually based it on the concepts of classic tokusatsu and various heroes created by Ishinomori Shotaro. From Kamen Rider, Kikaider, to Gransazer, many Showa and Heisei-era series used foreign or English pronunciations and have their names end in -er. After deciding that this character would be called WLDR, we decided what the appropriate abbreviation would be for him. Luckily we found a combination of Indonesian words: "Wingit Lamina berDaya Roh". Wingit itself means sacred and Lamina is armor (maybe closer to something like chainmail). Thus in English, the name basically means "Soul-Powered Sacred Armor" or SPSA, which isn't as catchy as WLDR.
This armor's black-white-orange color scheme is inspired by calico. Despite the fact BAROKAH is a male and not a female, we consider the three-color scheme a much unique palette than standard two-colored cats. The cat themed-armor itself is taken from many legends and myths about the feline existence. In many cultures, cats are often associated with luck -- either good or bad. To make WLDR's appearance even more eye-catching, we decided to give it big, white-toothed grin on the helmet, similar to the titular hero of Kamen Rider Revice. Its red eyes are given angular and very sharp shape to give it a fierce look and the impression of the presence of cat ears, forming a unique silhouette similar to Batman.
The GAMBELT belt is obviously inspired by the popular comic and TV series Kamen Rider. But if Takeshi Hongo spins his belt by riding on the Cyclone, GAMBELT is spun by pulling the lever just like a slot.

A mysterious finned warrior who saved BAROKAH when he was a child from the white tiger demon, MAUNG BODAS. He is considered to one of the most powerful and prolific SPIRIT BATTLER agent from DENSUS 19. His armor is based on the marlin fish. Armed with the sacred TUHUK BLADE, he has a number of swordfighting techniques that are closely related to his nautical theme: Killer Tidal Wave and Infinite Maelstrom.
At first, SWDR's armor was highly inspired by the Lagiacrus armor design from the video game series Monster Hunter, and we were planning to cover his hips with a “skirt-like” cloth not unlike middle ages knights. But because it kind of made the design more complicated, the idea was scrapped.
